The Research Centre on Medieval Nubia was established with the aim of being an up to date scientific facility that supports interdisciplinary archaeological, ethno-archaeological or historical research on the societies of Middle Nile. One of its main tasks being implementation of the most technically advanced documentation methods in archaeology. The professional workstation equipped with modern software will be one of the tools used for processing and elaborating graphic data. The Research Centre is also creating an information exchange platform and a data base that will contain all original sources and data collected during the field research and the results of the detailed analyses. This will improve information flow between researchers involved in the specific scientific project and increase effectiveness of their work.
